Fink you're right mate.  Only a foreigner could dream up that facking arrangement. Its gotta be all that metric load of cobblers. I'm a carpenter mate and I measure everyfink by the length of my knob.

Was listening to the wireless earlier.  Radio Wan I fink it was.

Anyway they started talking about this 'study' some university in England had done on ''whether people would be more or less likely to reach out to someone they hadn't seen in years.''

Seriously,  Who funds this sort of nonsense Jeff?

Next they'll have studies which examine ''Are you more likely to feel happy after a a slice of cake or a sandwich.''  Stay tuned for more of these groundbreaking discoveries.

I was in Costa a while ago and went to the counter to buy a sandwich with the intention of bringing it home and putting it in the oven, like I've done a few times in the past. Girl behind the counter said it has to be cooked in-house. I asked why and she said store policy. I said this is what I always used to do. Went on like that for a while and eventually she relented and I got to bring it home and do it myself.

Felt like Terminator asking Edward Furlong why he can't kill people.

Fack is that all about Jeff? Game's gone Jeff. Why's Marco Silva getting the Fulham job Jeff? They're taking our facking jobs Jeff.

Still possibly the hardest I've ever laughed at something on Irish TV. Especially @ 1:44

Ireland v Norway. USA ‘94. I recall watching it and being enthralled and captivated. For some reason I looked at the ‘highlights’ the other day and there were nothing but a few half chances. Was that game really that bad?

My memory was that it wasn't dull (as we were on the edge of our seat knowing defeat and we were out )and I remember we made a great break up the pitch and sheridan tried to chip the keeper and hit the top netting.

It was probably a very dull game for the neutral.  Norway were as bad as EIRE at the time for long balls.

In Irish do we have a specific name for letters with a fade over them?

For example in Spanish ñ is called an eñe

Does é have a specific name?

Unhealthy food is cheaper to buy.

Poor socio-economic conditions leads to mental health issues. Which can lead to lack of motivation to be physically active.

Not in Ireland it isnt, the price of stuff of like takeaways and frozen foods from supermarkets have always been far more expensive compared to buying fresh fruit and veg, meat, bread, milk, pasta, rice etc.. preparing and cooking meals from scratch.

Its lack of education, it really needs to be taught better in schools. A chapter on it in Science at junior cert level is nowhere near good enough.
