This is longest dry spell I've had since I was about 16...33 days. Probably gonna break it tonight when watching the egg chasing.

I was sick of the Guinness by the time Christmas came around with all the nights out leading up to it. Looking forward now to sinking a few creamers later.

On a related tangent...Guinness zero on tap is a game changer if you're off the sauce. Much superior to the cans

An add on to the other thread, over the 6 weekends up to Christmas i took to having a shot of free poured baileys into my morning coffee. Had to knock it on the head and sure Baileys is for Christmas only but, i'll tell you what lads, nice pep in the step early doors Clap

No drink since New Years Eve and haven't missed it. Nothing about January tempts me to go on the beer mind you.
I don't really miss it but I'm sure I will start to go out again over the next few months I'm sure as social events start picking up.

I've no temptation to drink in the house anymore

Wouldn't get through January without a few pints!

I don't think I have ever gone off the booze for a month. Just cut down.

I'll be tagging along on the rugby bandwagon in a few hours and heading down to Revels where I'll have a feed of pints.

Have 2 8L Heineken Blade kegs for tomorrow.

Love Sunday pints anyway so given this is a Bank holiday it adds on a couple of extra hours of serving time.

Might stay off it today - or maybe have four early doors.

Big day at the Dublin racing festival tomorrow with free drink all day. Will be well into a double figure day.
Working late shift Sunday but will make it to Cleary's for five curers after

Did 3 months off it when Covid hit  - Had just been on holiday for 3 weeks and then was a super spreader at Cheltenham so was actually easy enough in those circumstances to do without.
Did dry half January this year - Gave it a break after Arsenal v Liverpool. Went back on it for Fulham v Liverpool. Hard to go to a match and not have the few pints to enjoy!

I'm Andrew and I'm an alcoholic. It's been nearly 24 hours since my last drink and I can counting down the time to my next one.

A few ice cold Guinness for the Rugby would be my current thinking.

Same here.

I know it's hard for hard for people with kids to do but prefer pints after work or Sunday afternoon with footie on the tv rather than busy nights out. No comfort in packed pubs anymore unless it's a big sporting event.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Very rarely have drink at home.  The odd glass of wine or g&T on a Friday or Sat night but hangovers with kids are just not worth it.  Was never a huge fan of drinking at home anyway.  It’s a social thing for me.  The odd time get out for a few pints on a Sunday afternoon watching some football.
