Villa are in bad shape. Injuries and suspensions to key players like Kamara and now McGinn (his own fault). Konsa just came back from injury, but has already been sent off and gave away a cheap goal vs Spurs.

United might catch Villa if they don't fix up. Although they will also drop points between now and the end of the season with the way that they are playing.

Spurs need to win that game in hand this weekend. It puts them ahead of Villa and would keep United 9 points behind them. Fulham are in decent form. Unlucky to lose against Wolves.

The game in hand isn’t this weekend as Villa are away to West Ham but yeah spurs need to win.  April is a tough run wjth Newcastle away followed by City Arsenal and Liverpool and Chelse thrown in somewhere also.  Finish with Burnley and Sheff Utd who will probably be relegated by then.

I see ten clubs have shot down payment deal for the EFL. Am I missing something or does it just reinforce the greed at the top? Bournemouth doing it and they had the buckets out a few years ago to keep the club alive in division 3

Forest deducted 4pts . Puts them in the bottom 3 and takes Luton out of it

Only catching up on some of the highlights of the weekends games and some baffling decisions.

Newcastles 2nd peno didnt look like a peno. Not even sure about the 1st one.
No need to send off Gordan as he barely kicked the ball away. Taps it away. Not a 2nd yellow IMO.

How the hell is that a peno for Chelsea to go 1 up?? Just holds him off and ref gives a peno. No wonder Kompany went nuts.

And lastly after all the soft penos how in Gods name did Calvert Lewin Not get a peno against Bournemouth. As clear as day for me. Taken out of it.

Shambles Bill.

Agree with that doherty.
Phillips was unlucky, was about to clear the ball and Gordon nips in from behind and deliberately places his leg there so Phillips kicks it instead

Can’t get my head around the uproar over this?

Gordon positions his leg in front of Phillips and he kicks it, how is that not a penalty?

What else could Philips do? His leg was already in motion to kick the ball and Gordan just sticks his leg in. He didn't even win the ball. Its just another piece of evidence that football is getting worse and worse by the day. What will it be like in another 5 years time.

Philips had no awareness of what was around him.  He should know that Gordon is nearby and shield the ball not take a wild swipe that risks clattering anyone that gets their foot in the way. Certain peno.

What you have described has resulted in countless penos over the years. It’s the one thing defending players in the box should not do.

City looked far more cohesive without Haaland in the team and Grealish back. Pep reverting back to his 15 passes construct with Grealish at the hub of things ?

No i think that's knee jerk after the pile on on Haaland following a quiet game on Sunday.
Alvarez missed a few chances last night and although central striker is his best position, and his link up play is neat and tidy he's no Haaland.

City are definitely a better team with Grealish in it. Its a shame he wasn't fit for Anfield as Alvarez had a nightmare on the left wing.

Haaland is a donkey. If they'd signed kane he'd be scoring 50 goals with this team. But he's still a good option and wouldn't have won the champions league and premier without him.

Don't know where to start with that.

Haaland got 52 last season, are you aware of that?

I'll start for you. I'm talking premier league.

He broke the record for most goals in a premier league season in his first season.
Not bad for a donkey.

City tried to get Kane the season before but wouldn't meet Levy's asking price.
