I also think Breaking Bad is over-rated but still a brilliant TV series. I just dont think it is up there with the best of the best, the Top Gun of TV series's. The Soprano's, The Wire etc

Game of Thrones is overrated and gets wayyyyy too much lauding as best tv show ever.
Enjoyed it at the start but gave up on it after S3. It became far too tiresome.

In fairness, the penultimate series was nothing special either. It was rushed too, although not as bad as the final series.

GOT started off excellent but the last few series were disappointing.
Much like breaking bad, I liked it but the overall hype was too much. A lot of that is to do with social media.

I thought 'Breaking Bad' was sh*te and has been responsible for this culture of making a two hour film into a two day series. Cranston is a great actor and it was very well written, but it was pretentiously slow-moving, something which added absolutely nothing to the show. I got to about four episodes in on season three and realised that the whole four episodes could have been condensed into five minutes and gave up. I think a lot of series have taken their lead from this. I enjoyed 'The Handmaid's Tale', for example, but it was nearly six episodes of scene-setting! A ten episode first series could really have been done in about three episodes. I think that is why I still have more respect for film writers and directors, there is more of an art and a skill to grabbing an audience than deliberately teasing them along.

Agree with opinions about Breaking Bad, very over-hyped.
I actually agree with the decision not to award Kane a penalty against Newcastle. Felt he was looking to go down before he actually fell over Lascelles.

I just watched the clip of the Kane incident and while Kane loves a dive and to go down easily, it is probably still a penalty. What is really annoying is Alan Smith saying 'pen', over and over. Are you in that much of a rush that you can't say 'penalty'? He sounds like a hive of bees anyway.
