Tough call - all have their positives and negatives. The only ones from that list I haven't been to are LA and Vegas. New York is amazing but is a real concrete jungle - nice for short visits but not sure I'd want to live there. Chicago is a class city with friendly inhabitants, was only in Boston for a few days so can't really remember anything too redeeming, Miami is pretty sweet but knowing someone there helps as a lot of the best clubs etc are fairly hidden away. Probably go for San Fran though - there's a good diverse mix of everything there plus the bay is very picturesque. And there's also a few nice national parks and forests nearby.

They're all different, my favourite is San Francisco but it has a different atmosphere compared to Miami or NYC. Who doesn't love Vegas though

San Antonio and San Diego deserve a mention.

Not a city, but Washington DC is a phenomenal place to visit. Really love going there.

New Orleans was amazing, and I've always enjoyed trips to Texas. The more "on the nose" sports like NYC will always be superb to visit.

Worst = St Louis.

I've only been to 3 of the cities listed above.

Los Angeles is largely a kip, as is Las Vegas. However, the one redeeming feature of LA is the beach area's of Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo Beaches (south of LAX). Santa Monica and Venice Beach are fairly interesting places to check out but the latter three are great places to stay or live should you choose to. Moving inland from the beaches ya can forget about it. A dive! Las Vegas has zero redeeming features whatsoever.

San Francisco for me is a great city. Lots of great bars, restaurants and is really picturesque. It has a great little Italy and Chinatown. As noted by Deverox San Fran is within an easy drive of a few national parks like Yosemite, Hetch Hetchy, Kings Canyon & Sequoia, Redwood etc etc. It's also close to Silicon Valley which is interesting (computer history museum is A1 ) and of course Highway 1 which runs up and down the pacific coast (not a patch on the west coast of Ireland btw).

Hopefully New York will be ticked off next year. Always somewhere I've wanted to go.

I should have said, "not strictly". But it is a Federal District, first.

Yes Vegas is a dump.
I enjoyed my time there but would never go back, likewise LA.

Kansas City.

Unless you've been there, you haven't lived.

What a place.
