Just reading that Do it for Dan fund is donating 1 million euro to #abetterlifeforlivie. Unfortunately the reason behind it is that because Dan contracted a virus he will not be in a position to respond to the treatment as his body has developed antibodies that would prevent the treatment from working.
Tragic news for Dan's family but amazing generosity from them never the less to think of Livie. Here's hoping

Unbelievably sad for the family. Raised an unreal amount of money in such a short space of time & now told that he can't have the treatment. It's absolutely heart breaking for everyone involved. Holding out hope that something else comes along that he can get instead but time isn't on his side at all unfortunately
They ended up raising €3.3m & have given €1m to the Livie campaign as you said which is a brilliant gesture and hopefully she has more luck with the treatment. The remainder will go towards others other kids with a similar illness etc & towards looking after young Dan himself for as long as possible It's a cruel cruel world sometimes

+1 on this. Awful news but a fantastic gesture thinking of others while they have their own problems. |

So just threw another few quid on Livie's page, balance is at €916,119, so does that mean they have that plus the 1M from Daniel, hopefully we get a happy ending on this one

Good man Huggybear. Yep it's that and the one million from Dan. Getting close now, a good bit of movement recently, let's hope they get there quickly
