Will he be a free agent at the end of the season?

His IG posts indicate that he will be leaving Hull.

If he's managed to burn bridges with Rosenior, who took a gamble bringing him to Hull when Connolly wasn't exactly sought after, and had a good relationship with him from back in the Brighton academy days, you'd really have to worry about his application and where he's going in his career.

Stopped getting game time and gradually stopped making matchday squads right around the time the familiar accusations of him going on the piss all the time started to surface.

Looks increasingly like he’s a slacker, as does Obafemi unfortunately.

Going by the comments under that instagram post there are Hull fans that will be sorry to see him go and thought he was great for the team, blaming Gunn for taking him out for half a season.
We have such a dearth of good players we really could do with Connolly having a solid injury free season.

as others have mentioned rosenior has seemingly been his biggest advocate.. tough to read it as anything other than a very bad sign if he is showing him the door

Rosenior not lasting there and will be sacked before long so that would explain Connolly not getting offered a deal I would think

Stephen Kenny should apply for the job at this stage.  He might just get it.

I'd say him not picking him for 4 months when fit would explain it too. Not even making matchday squads for the last 4 games as others training better.

Rosenior or no Rosenior they weren't keeping him.

The man they love to hate! That injury really halted his progress, he was flying before it.

To think a foul wasn't even given for the challenge Ouch

Was he? Flying? Ouch

Including the Norwich game (or not, the stat works either way), he had 4 goals in the 20 games before he got injured. Hardly the stuff of dreams is it.

An injury which saw him back on the pitch in early February, and on the bench nearly every game thereafter but he's still 'working back to full fitness' LOL

Seemingly he was a disgrace in that Curaçao friendly (the last time he played a full 90), disinterested, overweight, fighting with teammates, terrible.

He's going to be back on the scrapheap searching for another club in the Summer, with another article to follow in October about finally getting his head down, but I'm sure there'll be the usual one or two of Pennywise's profession who will be telling everyone what a great season he had and how unlucky he is, again.

A goal for every 151 minutes he's played, amongst the best in the Championship. Some eeijits just seem to have a need to try and tear him down, it's pathetic.

So Hull & his favourable situation there with the manager will sign him up again or not  ?   If it's merely working back to full fitness then surely a formality with those numbers  ?

There's every chance they move him on.
There's every chance he has to drop a division to continue I think.

O'Shea, you blow hard, you never answered me.
They didn't sign him up again
They sacked his only cheerleader too

Which division will his next contract be in  ?
Goal every 151 minutes, he's safe as houses, yes  ?
Wasn't that it   ?

Lad was fully fit but just not training well enough, not on it, not making the match day cut. Simple as that. Which given his ability, should be a formality at Hull, so it must have been other things.

I thought Connolly was going to be great this season after the start he had. He showed flashes of what made him such a hot prospect in the beginning and looked like he should score every time he was on the pitch, but as the season went on the same old story developed. Isnt it funny how players who are known for being party boys always seem to pick up niggling injuries. Its almost as if not working hard in training constantly might have an effect on the body!

Couple of months ago Connolly put something up on social media about rumours about him not being true, but yet there are other social media videos of him acting the clown. Its a constant thing with him and at this point anyone defending him is just doing it through the thickest of green tinted glasses.

He might get another Championship club next season. Theres a lot of averageness and desperation in the Championship and you could see another manager take a "punt" on him. Theres no doubt he has talent but hes pissing it away. The injury he got from the collision late in the season was unfortunate but when you have stories that other players are then working harder in training than him thats completely unacceptable. He should have been the best player in training every week if he wanted to show a club that he is worth signing. If he had he might get signed by a club chasing promotion, whereas now he'll end up where he deserves, at a club going nowhere just like him

I think they'd like lads to be able to get on the pitch more often than not.
